So, I feel like writing about 3 songs I've been listening to
a lot lately. The songs are "Get Even" by Angelspit, "Head
Kult" by Angelspit, and "Band Aid Covers The Bullet Hole" by
Scarling.

So, this is obviously about revenge, but it's not your
typical revenge song. It goes deeper than that. This is
about black magick. And I'm not sure about this one, but I
don't think it's about revenge on just one person. I think
this is about revenge on society. This is about causing
anarchy as revenge.

So, I think it's pretty clear that it's about religion.
Christianity, to be exact. The line "flesh for the lions" is
a reference to the Bible story "Daniel in the Lions Den".
For those of you who don't know the story, it's about a man
named Daniel who was very faithful to God and he was facing
death for his beliefs. He got thrown into the lions den as a
death sentence and God basically saved him because he
prayed. At least, that's how I remember the story. I'm not
sure about this one, but "delusional salvation a pathetic
farce" means that the insane idea that the church will
deliver us from sin is a humorous idea and a marketing tool
that grants us a "higher seat in Heaven". "The sheep
confide" might refer to confession and how people confide in
the priest so he can basically cleanse them from sin.
"Heathen pesticide" might refer to the fact that
Christianity scares people out of "sinning" with the threat
that they will go to Hell. That's all I've got for that one.

"Band Aid Covers The Bullet Hole" by Scarling

Now this one's got me very confused! I think it might be
about how superficial things are.

I think this is about how when someone thinks differently,
they are immediately thought of as "crazy" so people go in
and try to fix something that doesn't really need fixing.

I think this is about how the media feeds girls these stupid
ideas about what beauty is, which leads to eating disorders.

[Boys whisper lullabies]

This might mean that boys aren't allowed to cry because they
need to be "strong" so they privately whisper comforting
words to themselves to make themselves feel better.

[and wet their beds]

This could mean that boys cry themselves to sleep when no
one is watching, so the tears get on the pillow and everything.

[Eat TV violence on the toast that they spread]

This could refer to how we see violence on TV so much that
it doesn't bother us anymore, instead we eat it up as
entertainment.

The chorus is saying that the world has gotten very ugly
because of how superficial things are.

Parents hate the noise and shove them out the door]

I think this means that when a child does something that's
considered unacceptable, the parents ship them off to
someplace that will "fix" the child where [Robots steal
emotions] and [hide them under their beds.]
